Hello Family and Friends,
As you know, it's about that time of year again when The Dizon Family and friends join together in the fight against Alzheimer's in honor of our beloved Mama, Agripina Dizon. On Sunday, November 7, 2010 we will be sportin' our t-shirts and walking in her memory along the streets of Century City (Century Park, 2000 Avenue of the Stars, Los Angeles, CA 90067).
Your support can be given in any way. You can join our Team Mama and help make our presence known. You can provide a small donation to help increase the funds necessary to find a cure. Or you can simply write a few words or send inspirational photos of your own so I can post them here on this very special blog. We will continue this effort every year because we know our mama has always been a person who cared about health, well-being and most importantly, doing things as a family. We walk for her.

The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $300 million for the cause.
Memory Walk is a community event that joins friends, family and co-workers as they walk to end Alzheimer’s. Participants typically register in teams of 10-12 and fundraise using tools supported by the Alzheimer’s Association. Walks vary from one to three miles and are held in nearly 600 locations nationwide.
Event day begins at 7:00 a.m. with registration; 9:00 a.m. Opening Ceremonies start; 9:30 a.m. - Memory Walk begins! 10:30 a.m. - Closing ceremonies start. Event includes the walk, a Health and Wellness Expo, entertainment and food.
Although there is no registration fee for this event, we encourage all of our walkers to raise money for the cause. Raise $100 or more and receive a 2010 Memory Walk T-shirt! Take the first step toward reaching your fundraising goal by making a personal donation today.

Dizon Family's 3rd Annual Memory Walk!
Hello Pamilya & Kaibigan (Family & Friends),
In just a few weeks, it will be our 3rd Annual Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk in memory of our beloved Mama!
For those of you who were not able to join us last year, it’s a non-competitive 5k walk (about 3 miles) that raises money for Alzheimer’s research, education and support to those currently with the disease and their families. More importantly, it’s the annual exercise for all of us, we all know how much Mama emphasized how much she can walk and made sure our backs were straight all the time. Also, its yet another opportunity for us to spend quality time together and be able to share our experience with our friends.
EVENT INFO:

7:00 AM Opening Ceremonies start
9:30 AM Walk begins
HOW TO SIGN UP:

2. Click "Join Our Team"
3. Enter all required information. There's no need to donate upfront but please enter a fundraising goal that you would like to raise. You are not required to meet this amount. (Alzheimer'a Association will give you a free T-shirt if you raise at least $100)
4. Once you're up, you'll have your personal webpage to track your donations (if you'd like) or to spread the word to your friends and family.
5. Get your walking shoes ready!
HOW TO SPREAD THE WORD:
