Team Mama Walks It Out!
Hello Ma,It was a beautiful day at Century City as the Dizon Clan walked in your memory along the Avenue of the Stars. Alzheimer's Association's Memory Walk is not only dedicated to fighting against this disease, it is also a time for family and friends to get together to show our support towards finding a cure. We lost a few and gained a few this year, but overall our 3rd year in a row proved to be a success! We miss you and will continue your legacy for caring for others, caring for yourself, and caring for your health. We love you!

My work created a memorable altar in honor of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). We placed decorative flowers, ornaments, headpieces, and photographs of loved ones that have passed away. I wanted to take a moment to share this with you.

As you know, it's about that time of year again when The Dizon Family and friends join together in the fight against Alzheimer's in honor of our beloved Mama, Agripina Dizon. On Sunday, November 7, 2010 we will be sportin' our t-shirts and walking in her memory along the streets of Century City (Century Park, 2000 Avenue of the Stars, Los Angeles, CA 90067).
Your support can be given in any way. You can join our Team Mama and help make our presence known. You can provide a small donation to help increase the funds necessary to find a cure. Or you can simply write a few words or send inspirational photos of your own so I can post them here on this very special blog. We will continue this effort every year because we know our mama has always been a person who cared about health, well-being and most importantly, doing things as a family. We walk for her.

The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $300 million for the cause.
Memory Walk is a community event that joins friends, family and co-workers as they walk to end Alzheimer’s. Participants typically register in teams of 10-12 and fundraise using tools supported by the Alzheimer’s Association. Walks vary from one to three miles and are held in nearly 600 locations nationwide.
Event day begins at 7:00 a.m. with registration; 9:00 a.m. Opening Ceremonies start; 9:30 a.m. - Memory Walk begins! 10:30 a.m. - Closing ceremonies start. Event includes the walk, a Health and Wellness Expo, entertainment and food.
Although there is no registration fee for this event, we encourage all of our walkers to raise money for the cause. Raise $100 or more and receive a 2010 Memory Walk T-shirt! Take the first step toward reaching your fundraising goal by making a personal donation today.

In just a few weeks, it will be our 3rd Annual Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk in memory of our beloved Mama!
For those of you who were not able to join us last year, it’s a non-competitive 5k walk (about 3 miles) that raises money for Alzheimer’s research, education and support to those currently with the disease and their families. More importantly, it’s the annual exercise for all of us, we all know how much Mama emphasized how much she can walk and made sure our backs were straight all the time. Also, its yet another opportunity for us to spend quality time together and be able to share our experience with our friends.

7:00 AM Opening Ceremonies start
9:30 AM Walk begins
HOW TO SIGN UP:

Your beautiful granddaughter, Olivia "Luv/Vhia" Buenaventura-Del Rosario surprised her family when she came to visit the U.S. for the first time. She only stayed about a week, but even in such a short amount of time, she made such a huge impact on all of us.
She learned from you because her energy and loving heart spread like a wild fire through the Dizon clan! It was nice to see everyone so close again! It almost felt like you were with us. How we wish you were...

Cousin Day @ Disneyland!
Hello Mama & Papa,
For the first time ever, The Dizon Cousins finally made an effort to get together to spend one, memorable day at Disneyland. Although not every one of us made it (we are a big family), those few who did show up, made it worth our while. We had a great time! Here are just a couple of snapshots of our fun-filled day! Amaya's "Garden" B-day Party Mar. 13, 2010
Hi Mama, I'm sorry it took some time to get these pictures to you, but what can I say? After all that partying, my Ninangs needed a little recuperation time! The set up was all Tita Bea's creative mind at work! I loved my jumper! Our "Go Green" souvenir consists of a reusable bag, packet of seeds, and a pot to grow it in. The beautiful centerpieces had water spouts filled with fresh flowers, a frame with my picture in it, a candle, and scattered pastel-colored chocolate kisses. Lola and Lolo took care of all the food and Ninang Nelly got the lechon (a roasted pig). Auntie Maria, Andy and Ninang Princess filled my dessert table with cupcakes, brownies and a delicious chocolate strawberry cake! I couldn't eat any of it, but my was it pretty. :) How we wish you could've been there.

My Big B-day Surprise

My daughters wanted to do something extra special for my birthday this year and thought what better way to surprise me than to give me what I've always wanted...My very own Louis Vuitton bag. Here's a few photos of just how this beautiful moment unraveled before my eyes! -Love you, Maria

And then I saw the box! I couldn't wait to open it! 
You know we couldn't walk out of there without putting it back in the box! Look I even had my own personal bodyguard.
